Extending the Boxxd°Universe

We believe, that Boxxd is just seeing the light and that the Boxxd Universe can be extended in several directions.

So “where are we going?” you might ask and that’s a good question. The answer will depend on the community and its use. Some of the topics which we think are interesting are automation, micro services, learning, catalogue services.

To get started we have defined a couple of value areas on which to concentrate on. We call them Value Zones - They are independent of markets, components or of specific products.

Value Zones

The following zones are in our sights:

• Usability - Making Boxxd to be easy and to be a joy to use.
• Creativity - Helping people around the world, in various areas to be creative in what they do, free them of boring work, help them to be more effective.
• Boxxdr - Supporting the people who support Boxxd.
• Toolset - Improving the utilities and what can be done.

A couple of TODOs from each zone are listed below.

Zone Usability

Usability is about making Boxxd easier and a joy to use, i.e. in what is available out of the box, in saving time.

Some work to do is:

• We want to give users more choice in visual templates so that they can get going faster.
• Make it easier to find, to know about.
• Build the Boxxdlets catalogue.

Zone Creativity

The Creativity Zone is about supporting creativity, helping people to success, to cut down on the boring work:

• To bootstrap ideas - extending the collections of off-the-shelf Seed°Boxxds and Boxxd°Sets.
• To support efficiency in work via offering more booster templates and insight materials.
• Boxxd°Coach support
• Integrating more tools and services to do the boring work.

Zone Boxxdr

A Boxxdr (spoken “box-er”) is person who uses Boxxd, and they are the people rebuilding the world with Boxxd.

Some of the things on our list are:

• Guide on how to use Boxxd, to integrate in organisations.
• Community platform.
• Training and coaching network.

Zone Toolset

The tools is what helps brings efficiency: The wiring bringing boxxds together, the Tool°Boxxd, etc. It should also be fun to use.

Some topics are:

• More functionality in document building, rendering.
• Website building.
• Catalogue building.
• Wiring.
• Fledging out the API.
• Integration of 3rd party services.
